Working on a game called Golf Rival, as a part of the team that makes all the in-game events happen (aka liveops). Introduced offer segmentation to multiple liveops events, boosting their revenue buy 13%.

On the Connectors team, I was responsible for maintaining a range of data connectors, keeping them stable, reliable, and up to date. I also worked on updating several key customer-facing reports to help users access their data more easily. I placed a strong focus on reliability and consistently aimed for 99.99%+ uptime to support a smooth and dependable experience for our customers.

Software engineer @ Velsera (formerly Seven Bridges)

January 2020 - June 2024

I worked in the Core department, which was responsible for several critical areas of the SB platform, including user management, single sign-on, billing, and application management. Our team supported the foundation of the platform, making sure core services were scalable, secure, and easy to build on. We operated in a complex environment with around 170 microservices, mostly written in Java, Python, and Go, and collaborated closely with other teams to keep the platform stable and evolving.

Some highlights from my time there:

• Owned the billing domain, where I designed and implemented a range of new features.

• Developed a secure upload process for users to add Nextflow code packages and applications to the platform.

• Led the transition from an in-house legacy framework to Spring, helping establish it as the company-wide standard.

• Built several tools to streamline routine security updates, supporting our efforts to maintain critical certifications.

• Mentored interns as part of the company's Internship 4.0 program.

• Organized multiple "Community of Practice" sessions to share knowledge on Java and related topics.

• Took on Scrum Master responsibilities for a team of five.
